Bass Lake is located in the Sierra National Forest at an elevation of 3200 feet. Summer brings nice 85 to 90 degree days and 60-degree nights. Our water temperature is 78 to 80 degrees most of the summer (yes, it’s that warm!). Winters bring some snow, usually 4 to 6 “dumps” a winter ranging from 2” to 12” each time. It usually melts within days. We get 60-degree days, followed by snow, followed by another 60-degree day. You never know. We have virtually no wind, or wind chop on the lake. Sailing is almost non-existent. Our lake is patrolled by Madera County Sheriff’s Department, which helps makes it a safe lake. Call the number above for boat registration information.
